ARTS ADVISORY BOARD

Providing advice on the AI's curatorial policies and overall artistic direction, the Arts Advisory Board includes some of the best known Boston-area and national arts professionals working in the field of interactivity and new media.

George Fifield
Director, Boston CyberArts Festival
George Fifield is a media arts curator, writer, teacher and artist. He is the founder and director of Boston Cyberarts Inc., a nonprofit arts organization which produces the Boston Cyberarts Festival. Fifield is curator of new media at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Lincoln, MA.

Joseph Ketner
Chier Curator, Milwaukee Art Museum in Milwaukee, WI
Joseph Ketner is a scholar of nineteenth and twentieth century American and European art history and brings many years of experience to his position on the Advisory Board. Director of the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University for six years, he is now the Chief Curator at the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Joseph Paradiso
Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences, MIT
Joseph Paradiso directs the Responsive Environments group and co-directs the Things That Think Consortium. Paradiso has a remarkably diverse background, ranging from high-energy physics detectors and spacecraft control systems to an ongoing interest in art, interactivity, and electronic musical instruments.

Kathryn Brew
Co-Director, Margaret Mead Film & Video Festival, American Museum of Natural History
Kathy Brew is a media arts curator, writer, teacher, and artist. As an award-winning videomaker, a writer on media and contemporary art, an adjunct faculty member at the School of Visual Arts Computer Arts department and formerly NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, and an independant curator, she brings much experience in art and technology to the Advisory Board.
