Art Interactive's mission is to provide a public forum that fosters self-expression and human interaction through the development and exhibition of art that is contemporary, experimental, and participatory.

Art Interactive is a non-profit experimental art space in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Situated in the heart of Central Square, Art Interactive's 2,500 square foot, one-of-a-kind space provides artists a supportive venue for showing cutting-edge work. Art Interactive offers the community in the Greater Boston Area unparalleled opportunities for experiencing innovative art forms.

Visitors play, create, and participate at Art Interactive.

Art Interactive's mission is unique. As the Boston Globe commented in a 2002 review: "Viewers here become part of the art…There is nothing exactly like Art Interactive elsewhere in the United States."

In addition to its exhibition program, Art Interactive also runs a Performer-in-Residence Program and hosts the Upgrade! Boston Lecture series (in partnership with Turbulence.org). Other public programming includes interactive meals, performances, multimedia parties, experimental film screenings, lectures and other special events. Through all of its activities, Art Interactive provides a forum for the in-depth exploration of contemporary art.
